This week, the Kansas City Star reported that “The Kansas Department of Commerce unveiled Connect Kansas, a plan designed to increase broadband Internet access throughout rural Kansas.”

The plan consists of two phases:

1) The creation of a statewide broadband map
2) Distributing grants and loans for rural broadband expansion.
